The quality of the product is very good but there is a problem related to advertised versus actual size. The dimentions shown in the on-line site and the catalog (and this page) are 36"w x 18"d. I would not have a problem with a your representative's statement that the measurements are "nominal" if there was a slight difference, although "nominal" measurements are not addressed anywhere that I could find in your catalog or website. The ones I received were a full inch short in both directions. Since I had ordered the shelves to add to an already assembled unit with 36" x 18" actual (not nominal) measurements, they would not fit. Upon receiving the replacement, I reassembled the unit using your shelves, and found that the shelves you sent were actually 36"x 18", so they had to be cut to fit. My conclusion is that there is a quality control issue concerning dimensions of your products.
