Hello Jacqueline, “alcohol mist” is a very broad category. Model number B314715 is primarily for particles and may be used up to 10x the exposure limits for particles. The thin layer of carbon is only for non-hazardous levels of vapors (less than the exposure limit). If you are above the exposure limit for vapors, you will need to consider an organic vapor cartridge + particle filter. If you are using 3M half or full face piece respirators, please consider model number 795247 organic vapor cartridge + models B313477 or B313321 filter + B312114 retainer.
