When I set it up with the 4 bolts in place in the slots at the bottom, the side poles are too close together to insert the top pole. When I remove the 4 bolts and insert the top pole and push the rack forward, the rack comes apart at the top and collapses. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Linda, You have to remove the 4 bolts in the bottom to release the side bars, so the top part could go on. Then replace and tighten the 4 bolts in the bottom before moving the rack. Thank you for your interest in our product!
