If you already have shelved, this is an excelent way to use them. They are good quality steel and you can find lots of ways to make shelves fit these posts...and unless you want to cut steel flats, you need the braces. -

Th shelving came in in several packages. one of the packages was damaged and I did not realize it at the time of delivery but there were parts missing. When I started installing the shelves a few days later I noticed that the braces and all of the screws and nuts were missing. one call to Customer service and the next day I had the replacement parts in my hand.
