The manufacturing of these shelves is precise. They're easily assembled without tools. There was no need to twist or force to make the rivets slide into their holes. -

I used to get plastic shelving when I was more mobile, that always bowed in their shelves. I have a home now and these shelves are permanent. Rock Solid! Heavy duty! A little expensive, but an investment worth their cost! I highly recommend, if practicality is a concern, and not so much beauty. You could call them handsome, though. -
