I have been using this tool for a few years now and it has not let me down. I frequently use this when pressing and soldering, more so for pressing. deburrs and reams the pipe with ease. The pipe has not cut an o-ring on any of the press fittings I have installed and has saved me SO MUCH more time then using a file or another abrasive. -

Bought this along with some close quarters cutters for small copper pipe, I needed something that could get down to just a few mm internal, and as found with cheaper tools, nothing would quite get close, or work as effectively as expected. These were a really good investment, ream internally, and externally, leave a nice finish, with little extra work required, I use a scalpel to remove some of the internal burr, and as before, the finish is nice and even from these. -

It's ok for smaller diameter copper. But for anything over an inch it's a lot of work. I use a stick style on the inside with is fantastic. The outside is what kills you. For 1-/1/2 to 4 inch I use a cordless die grinder with a flap wheel. Rolex type head. You blink and it's done. Your wrist will love you. I even tried putting this reamer in a pvc coupling with a bolt thru the end ran it on the drill. And it takes a bit of time especially again on the outside to get rip of that darn lip. -

I'm mainly working with stainless but also with copper pipes. Cheap reamers still can be used for copper but can't handle stainless. Ridgit reamers are amazing and can easily handle both metals. I'm very pleased with quality of Ridgid teams and they are definitely worth their price. -

I bought this tool specifically for reaming the outer edges of PVC pipe. This tool does a great job of deburring the ends of the pipe, so long as the pipe is smaller than 2". I typically only use 1-1/2" & 2" pipe for pool systems and I was very happy thinking that this one tool would work for all of my needs. The first day I only used it on 1.5" pipe and it worked perfectly all day. I like the fact that there are many cutting blades to make the job easy and create a smooth surface. The next day I was using 2" pipe and that's when I realized that 2" PVC doesn't fit into the tool. The tool and the pipe are exactly the same size, so it doesn't ream the pipe AT ALL! And even further disappointing is the fact that they don't make a larger sized reamer. Hey Ridgid, why don't you make this tool 2-1/2" instead of 2-1/8" so that the pipe can actually fit inside the tool and still have a little extra wiggle room for work
