Clamp-In Valves For Drop Center Rims With 5/8 Hole.
Made with a high temperature ozone resistant grommet and heat resistant cap and core. Features a 13° bend. Many valves used in truck service must be bent to allow access of gauges and chucks. Installing straight valves and bending them often causes leakage at the grommet. A slight cut in the surface of the grommet where it contacts the inside of the rim hole grows and will eventually work through the grommet providing a leak path. The slow leak may be stopped by tightening the valve nut, but it usually results in over torquing the valve and eventual failure of the grommet. To provide for the longest service life and prevent grommet damage installing a pre-bent valve is recommended in applications where required. Bending Valves after installation in the wheel may cause air loss.
