Good Fan

I have had it for less than a month but I am satisfied with it. No secrets to it. It does what it is suppose to do. Nothing fancy, in case you want to know, but then, you probably are not looking for something beautiful and fancy. Solid. Satisfied.

Good fan except for a few details

This is a good powerful fan. Well built and works well. However, the shutter unit grazed the fan blades when fully open, so we had to make modification of the fan mounts. Also, it would be nice to have two speeds instead of just one.

Exceeds my Expectations

Your review: The attic fan has been running for two (2) weeks during the heat of each day. I installed it as per directions and it runs smoothly and quietly. A very helpful product that reduces the cooling load of the house by lowering the ambient temp in the attic.

Good Exhaust Fan

Your review: This was an easy install exhaust fan that helped get rid of the excessive heat from my insulated metal shop. I am very pleased with the performance of the fan and not too excessive noise for an exhaust fan. The only problem I had was the fan blades would hit the vertical shutter linkage bar when the fan shroud was installed using the 1/2" rubber grommets with self tapping screws. The fix was to loosen the fan blade and move back on the shaft about a 1/4". This solved the problem and didn't create a problem either. I just wish I could have installed a larger fan, but I was limited on size.

Great fan, once you get it installed right

Your review: The fan is installed now and working fine although it took some finess. The fan and shutter are 2 separate pieces. The directions say that the adjustable shutters need to be mounted on the OUTSIDE wall. This doesnt seem possible as the fan itself gets attached to the shutter. So, I mounted the shutter to the inside wall and attached the fan. Once I turned it on the fan made a loud noise! The blades were hitting the shutter as it opened. Small rubber spacers are provided and used where the fan attaches to the shutter, probably to prevent any metal on metal noise and/or vibration. I had to add some additional rubber spaces to the ones provided so that the fan would sit further away from the shutters and would not hit them. It works beautifully now and helps keep the attic cool. I purchased a separate line voltage thermostat and set it for 100 degrees.

Do the shutters close automatically or just open automatically when the fan turns on? The video states that the shutters can be closed, not that they close automatically.
